You Are Enough: A book about Inclusion

This bright, brilliant story has such a lovely message. It's a perfect pick-me-up for children in need of a boost.

Being different is what makes you special, no two people are the same, and everyone should be loved and celebrated just the way they are. This picture book carries an empowering message about being yourself and surrounding yourself with people who care about you and cheer you on. It encourages readers to face their fears and never giving up, to be kind and accepting, and happy.

It is inspired by Sofia Sanchez, a young model and actress who has Down syndrome, and the final few pages have some facts about Sofia's life and a Q&A about Down syndrome. So as well as carrying an important, positive message, it would also make a great learning resource.

Sofia Cardoso's illustrations are full of vibrant colour and life. Just looking at the front cover of this picture book makes me smile and every page is filled with similar joy. It's filled with a diverse range of children, ensuring it is a book where every difference is celebrated.

Its empowering message makes it a great option for tough days and its encouraging words and joyful illustrations will put a smile on readers' faces.

Thank you Scholastic for sending a copy for review.
