Mina Mistry is back with a new investigation!
When beloved pets start to go missing, Mina has a new case to investigate. Has Holly's hamster escaped, bored of a life as a social media fashion model? Or is something more sinister going on. The likeliest suspects are the new make-up factory at the edge of town, and Holly's animal-rights-activist mum. Mina will have to unravel the clues and follow her instincts if anyone is going to have their pets returned.
This funny story will have young readers giggling throughout. Mina has a strong, comical voice, reminiscent of other brilliant diary stories, like Dork Diaries or Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Her relationships with Holly and Mr Panda provide lots of fun.
With pretty purple sprayed edges and brilliant illustrations by Ellie O'Shea, this story is sure to be a visual hit too. The font is large and easy to read, making this a great book for readers emerging in confidence, who want to read on their own but find small font a bit daunting.
