My final summer board book spotlight (for this week) is on the brilliant You Can Be a Supercat.
Any book which comes with its own felt mask is guaranteed to make an instant impact. This clever extra helps young readers become part of the story, complete with their own orange cat ears. Chris Dickason's illustrations are really adorable and I love how vibrant and fun Supercat is.
Supercat is kind and helpful, bringing a smile to her friends' faces by making them laugh and sharing rather than defeating super villains. Everyone can be a super hero just like Supercat and there are even suggestions on each page to help young readers get involved.
