Vehicles, an interactive lift-the-flap book is filled with bright, stylish illustrations.
Each double page spread is devoted to a different pair of opposites, illustrated through contrasting vehicles. A slow bicycle is paired with a fast train, a low submarine with a high hot air balloon. Flaps are used to emphasise the contrast, so a noisy motorbike is lost in a cloud of smoke and a big boat extends off of the page.
It's simple but really effective, and both fun and educational to read. I really like the use of vibrant, block colours and the flaps have (so far!) held up well against my inquisitive toddler.
