One Lane Swallow

Another picture book I had a peak at the early sketches for last year and was excited to finally hold in my hands.

With stunning illustrations of 19th Century Florence, this picture book is really very special. If you are a fan of art, or Italian architecture this is a picture book you don't want to miss, and it's still beautiful even if those aren't things you would usually seek out. The muted colour scheme gives this book a dreamlike quality and a soft, soothing feel.

Florence provides a beautiful backdrop to what is also a tense and action filled story, in which a swallow tries to find her missing mate.

Thank you New Frontier Publishing for sending me a copy to review.

One Lane Swallow is written by Corinne Fenton and illustrated by Owen Swan
